Annual Sports Day

Every year the students gear up enthusiastically to exhibit the best performances of physical fitness and self-discipline. The students put in weeks of effort to pull off the incredible stunts and parades that are a sheer display of strength and uniformity. Apart from that, our students strive to win positions in different exciting games that are judged by a panel of respectable faculty members. The annual sports day turns out to be bigger and better each year with students bringing out their best skills and physical abilities.

Annual Picnic

As our students are engaged in improving their academic results all year round, they’re treated with a fun-filled field trip that allows them to unwind and have a gala of a time with their peers and teachers. With the necessary security protocol, WHSS students taken to different places each year so they make countless memories to remember.

Independence Day

Students await all year to celebrate the national event with fervour and zeal. This year was no less as students came up with innovative plays and thought-provoking speeches that received hearty applause.

The objective behind the annual celebration is to rekindle the love and adoration for our beloved country and to remind the students of the countless sacrifices our ancestors made for an independent and sovereign country. Dressing up in green and white, our students bring out the chilling patriotic environment with their resonating speeches and thought-provoking skits. The event closes with a cake cutting ceremony that is headed by the honorable dean, Wahaj Hussain.

Election Campaign

A successful election campaign preceded the Elections Day, providing each candidate an opportunity to bring his/her ideas across to the students. With colourful posters, badges, and catchy slogans, the candidates toured the campus and went from class to class in efforts to win more votes. To provide the candidates a much-needed confidence boost, they were given a chance to articulate their thoughts and future plans for the campus in a timed speech. At the end of the day, it was a one-of-a-kind experience for students.

Defense day

The proudest day in our history, 6th September, is celebrated annually with much zeal. Students are reminded of our soldiers’ valiant endeavours and their sacrifice for the defense of their beloved country. The students dress up and present thoughtful plays, eloquent speeches and heroic poems that reflect the tireless efforts and the patriot spirit of our soldiers. The day holds immense importance as students are communicated the part they are expected to play for the country.

Iqbal Day

Every year, students at WHSS pay a tribute to the national poet, Dr. Muhammad Allama Iqbal for his significant efforts for the creation of Pakistan. His poetry and philosophy are presented through speeches and role play. Students act out Allama Iqbal’s famous children’s poems like ‘Paharr aur Galerhi’ ‘Makrra aur Makkri’ and the evergreen prayer ‘Lab pay ati hai’ that are a treat to watch.

Children’s Day

Dedicating a day to our WHSS angels, the students were in for a treat as they celebrated Children’s Day at school. Dressed up as flowers, the pre-primary students stole the show with a jovial performance. The Dean, Wahaj Hussain, graced the event and shared his thoughts on the occasion.

Library Day    

The day fairytales and comics come alive at WHSS Juniors’ Campus. In order to develop children’s literary skills, WHSS went the extra mile to allow children to be in the shoes of their favourite characters for a day. The campus was adorned as a storybook and each class had a tale to tell. From dress-ups to story enactment, the students learned a lot from an array of activities. The objective behind the day was to rekindle the love of stories in children’s hearts and bring them closer to the world of books.

International Kangaroo Contest

Schools from all over the world participate in the annual International Kangaroo Contest (IKC). At WHSS Juniors’ Campus, students sit for the Linguistics and Mathematics test conducted by the IKC. The students are trained and guided by their teachers prior to the day of the contest. The platform provides them international recognition at a very early stage. This year two students, Maier Ali (IV) and Inshal Ali (V), from Juniors’ Campus secured bronze medals for their outstanding performance in the International Kangaroo Linguistic Contest.  (insert their)

The International Mathematics Contest 2020 has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Plantation Day

The objective behind the day was to instill in students a love for nature and compassion for plants. The students presented skits, poems, and speeches to emphasize the importance of plants in our environment. The students then planted a seedling in a pot with their name. It gave a chance for children to connect with the environment and learn about the issues of climate change. The teachers explained that plantation is the need of the hour and is a long-term investment for future generations.

Games Activity— Canvas Day

Students were provided an occasion to channel their inner Picasso and express their ideas on canvas. Their creativity knew no bounds as they came up with fantastic artistic creations.

Crayons, paints, colours, brushes, and other bits and bobs were arranged for the students as they focused on creating their masterpiece. Students poured out their creative ideas with vibrant colours, abstract sketches, and symmetrical shapes. It gave students a chance to unwind and release the stress of their academic responsibilities. At the end of the day, the children had their creations up for display so everyone could appreciate their budding talent

Roza Khushai

When it comes to Ramadan for children, especially young children, there is no better way to teach them than by having fun whilst learning. Engaging them in activities that feed their interests means that they are much more likely to retain information. Children participated enthusiastically in the Chirri Roza Khushai at WHSS. 

Ilmversity

Ilmversity is known as one of the best cloud management systems keeping students, parents, teachers, and the administration connected. Wahaj Hussain’s School System has been using a customized version of the system as a trusted database for all three campuses, where details of each student and faculty member are stored confidentially. Not only does it hold records of students and staff’s attendance, but it is also a portal where students receive all assignments and their grades. Not just this, but Ilmveristy gives access to parents so they may monitor their child’s progress. Easily accessible from any device, Ilmversity holds our latest news and updates of our campus.

Activity-based learning

One of the best pedagogical practice adopted at WHSS Juniors’ is activity-based learning that keep the students engaged at all levels. The objective behind this approach is to create a positive impact on students allowing their minds to retain information as they practically indulge in academic-related activities. Our qualified teachers come up with innovative ideas to bring out the best in their students. The activity-based learning approach is not limited to any age or grade. It has proven to be the most effective method to keep students engaged with their studies.
